Rotary Club of Redding Scholarship Program

  

The Rotary Club of Redding each year awards scholarships to students continuing their education. Scholarships will be awarded to qualified graduating seniors from Shasta High School, University Preparatory School and Stellar Charter School who will attend a two or four year institution in the fall of 2012. Scholarships will also be awarded to Shasta College students continuing their education in the fall of 2012.

A total of $20,000 has been reserved for 2012 scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded in the amounts of $500 or $1,000.

Shasta College:-Scholarships will be awarded to students at Shasta College who will be continuing their education in the Fall of 2012 at Shasta College.  Students applying for this scholarship should obtain an application from the college Scholarship Coordinator. 

High Schools:-Scholarships will be awarded to students at the other three schools.  High school applicants should use FORM A below.

 

In all cases, applications should be completed, printed, attachments added where needed, and turned into the appropriate school contact on or before March 9th, 2012.  Applications should not be handwritten.   

Once received, applications will be reviewed by members of the Redding Rotary Scholarship Committee to determine which applicants will be interviewed.  A date will be set for interviews and applicants will be contacted by mail, phone, e-mail or by school staff as to the date, time and place of interview. 

Following the interviews, a final selection will be made and students and school scholarship contacts will be notified by mail.  Formal presentation of scholarships will be made in co-operation with each school's procedures and/or activities.   Scholarship recipients will be invited to be the guests of the  Rotary Club of Redding in May.
